One of our train buddies had a quad-bypass last Saturday, and from what I understand, we nearly lost him. Another train buddy went to see him in the ICU last night and he brought with him a basket full of books, magazines, puzzles, toys and other items we all bought for him. He was very overwhelmed and sent his love to us all, his 2nd family.
Today I decided to write to Sounder and thank them for providing this mode of transportation and I really wanted them to know how much my train buddies mean to me and this is the response I got.....

Thank you for contacting Sound Transit with the positive feedback on your Sounder commute. It is always great to hear from those who are enjoying their commute and making the best of the available seating. I will share your comments with the appropriate staff.
As a word of caution, please be aware that we also have a number of commuters who are seeking quiet rest and relaxation during their commute so we ask that all riders respect other passengers' privacy by keeping their voices down while on the train.
Do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance in the future.

And here is my response:
Thank you for the e-mail. I'm disappointed that after I write an e-mail thanking Sounder and telling you that I have met so many wonderful people using this mode of transportation, you would end the e-mail basically chastising me as if I were a child.
I wrote the e-mail because we almost lost one of our train buddies this past week due to heart problems and I was feeling especially thankful that we didn't and wanted to express my feelings about Sounder.
We all know the rules are printed on page 126 of the Transit Guide. Which by the way, a copy was put into the gift basket we made for our train buddy who is still in ICU at the hospital, for when he's feeling better.. he'll know the train buddies are thinking of him.
But thanks anyway for your "word of caution". After this many years, riding the same train, the same car, the same seats.. I think we know how to conduct ourselves..

Watch out, you just may be on Sound Transit’s Most Wanted List!!
Under no circumstances are you to make eye contact with others much less make friends with fellow commuters. We really would prefer for you to be a hermit and glare at others who dare to *gasp* break the code of silence but please continue to enjoy all the benefits and perks of riding Sound Transit. Thank you for your ridership!
Good for you for calling Sound Transit out on their ridiculous "word of caution." I wonder why Kelly Compton would assume that you & your fellow train buddies need a “word of caution” as to how to conduct yourselves on the way to work.
Face it NOrse you are a stalker. Was the guy in the hospital really overwhelmed? Or freaked out that you guys "tracked him down"?
LOL
Cute story. I love my Denise.
